Catching rain in my hands.
The same hands
Gray black, flushing into juicy pink
With holes where stars should be
Floating somewhere under my ribs
Ashes & tegument
These hands gathered clay
My hands are the same hands that smoothed the threads
And polished clay
The same hands that caught a baby
Under a juniper tree
Or by a stream
They are the same hands
Bones as wondrous as a Yucca bloom
In perfect symbiosis with a moth

Hands build worlds that minds dream
And also, hands build worlds that the minds can not conceive

These paintings were made between May and October 2025, and were hand bound in 2026.
Hand painted pages, gauche and watercolor

Coptic style binding

The stitch I used was a Greek Stitch, where the two halves of the book are sewn separately, then bound together in the center of the book.
