The rivers of Montana are the lines upon which the stories of time in that place are written. Geologic time tumbles over our toes, freezing water pressing it forward.

The stones in this piece are elegant specimens of river tumbled petrified wood, a fascinating unknown lined stone (whose stories I wish I could read) and a gorgeous piece of pink jasper that looks like candy. These stones are joined by antique Indonesian glass beads and a sterling silver clasp.

This piece is part of The Movement of Stones Project.
