From the banks of the Boulder River the rubble remnants of hopeful miners reside. Quartz veins they followed crushed and tumbled down river, smooth and forgotten. Their whisky bottles and fragments of canning jars brought to luster by the movement of liquid life. Even still people dig, bud light in hand, sifting gold dust from black sand.
