Ancient surprises buried in the desert, polished by the aeons of wind, rain and sand.
The large piece of petrified wood at the center of this piece is one of my favorites I've ever found. I picked it up in the fine desert sands of my local mountains, once a stomping ground for Dinosaurs. The other beads contained within this piece are shell Heishi, 6 fossilized dinosaur bone beads and a Cowrie Shell at the back.
The three pieces of petrified wood residing in this work were found and drilled by me.
The center stone measures 2 x .75 inches. The necklace measures 33.5 inches around.
