This piece was woven by me here at my home-studio in New Mexico on a warp of Organic Cotton-Linen and a weft of hand dyed raw silk.
As with most of my work, this piece grew from a feeling or sense rather than a concrete idea of form. I was feeling deeply drawn to the loving comfort and power of the color purple. From this notion the threads were woven.

Technicalities - It is 4.9 m in length with about 5 inches of hand twined fringe on each end.
