Peeking Through Ages
When you see a stone potato peeking at you, you've got to pick it up.
This deeply strange stone was a gift from the creek. Pondering the improbability of things its purpose. It is rare that I spend time in mossy places. It is such a soft world compared to the desert. Nearly every sense stimulated in a different way within a space thick with humus. This stone came from a creek sunk deep in the forest, a veiling of fathomless green surrounding on all sides.
Joining this talisman of the bizarre is a tubular basket of knotwork, Indonesian glass beads and a sterling silver clasp.
This work is a part of The Movement of Stone project.
