This gloriously soft piece was woven on a warp of black walnut dyed organic merino with a weft of Afghan cashmere. The cashmere was created from start to finish by a women's cooperative in Afganistan. I am nearly our of this fiber and cant get any more, so this will probably be the last piece made with it.
Into the warp was knotted a mane of natural and black walnut dyed silk-merino. This piece measures 65 inches around and 4.5 inches wide.
