A gathering of black walnut dyed merino ready to become the next warp on my little(er) loom.
Back to weaving vortices
Piles of color. Stacks of shapes.
All the possibilities. Old beads, new finds. All my new adornment creations will be in Desert Archaic gallery in Truth or Consequences, NM (and are also available if you dm me) This piece contains locally found fluorite, a fossil from the limestone cliffs of Minnesota and other beautiful vintage turquoise and stone beads.
A cave of color.
This is one of the first large weavings I ever created. It just came back to me, to be turned into a cloak and I am loving to see how beautifully it has worn. It is so soft and still vibrant.
New tools. No more fighting with old, broken equipment that I constantly have to fix and hack together to get the job done….this is a beautifully handcrafted #swift made by #strauchfiber equipment.
A subtle finish to this #naturallydyed piece that will be up for sale once it is finished (in a few weeks)
Full moon over the desert. #naturallydyed moonscape with #blackwalnut #sandalwood and #pecan dyed fibers.
Coffee & spinning this morning, hoping the warm New Mexico sun comes out from the clouds long enough to heat up my studio. 🌞
