Handwoven by me in my New Mexico home-studio, these luxurious scarves were loosely woven with a warp of organic cotton/linen.
The first piece was woven with a weft of naturally dyed raw silk and hand-spun. The natural dyes that were used for this piece were black walnuts, madder, cochineal, marigolds, sandalwood and blanket flower. The cotton is color-grown and was spun by me.
The second has a weft of 3 and 4 ply raw silk.
The third has a weft of a brilliantly colored array of alpaca, wool, merino and wool blends.
