Ive been wanting to share a little more about what is going on in the landscapes of my mind while I work, but it is not usually a very easy thing for me to do. The question of what it means to be human is something that I have silently turned over within myself since I can remember. It always seems that questioning begets more questions, that lead ever deeper into the unknowable. What is the human drive to create? For me it is the very core of being, it is what I feel makes me human and connects me with the essence of life itself. Again, when I ask myself why, I am left with more questions than answers.
To fill my mind as my hands work I listen to a LOT of podcasts. On Being with Krista Tippett is one that I have been loving, and really enjoying the contemplation it evokes. It is filled with beautiful dialogues with brilliant people in all fields of life having conversations about what it means to be human. I highly recommend it (I like the unedited interviews) https://onbeing.org/programs/jericho-brown-small-truths-and-other-surprises/
