Kintsugi Handwoven Art Yardage is the last large weaving(a custom) on the 2018-19 Fibonacci warp. It is inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. A good metaphor for life.
It was woven on a warp of organic cotton-linen with a weft of raw silk, hand-spun color grown cotton, hand-spun carbonized bamboo as well as just a bit of metallic thread to make the gold sparkle.
