Daily practice.
Month: July 2016
4.8m of handwoven Art Yardage inspired by the sweet nectar of lilacs, wild
blueberries, Birch, Alder, Chickadees, Woodpeckers, Frogs, fingerpainting,
ponds and the ocean. Growing up free in the forrest, surrounded with love.
It was woven on a warp of organic cotton-linen with a weft of raw silk with
a centerpiece of handspun Afghani Cashmere, Cashmere/silk and
seacell/merino/silk. The centerpiece fibers were all dyed naturally with
Cochineal (lilac color), Black walnuts, Pecans, and other leaves and bark.
Finishing up this earthy piece, full of love.
It feels like such an honor it be able to work with these materials.
Moving forward with some naturally dyed Cashmere, silk, Merino and seacell.
Lilacs, Earth and the Forrest, in Cashmere, silk, Merino and seacell.
