I just got this BEAUTIFUL pile of hand spun Afghani Cashmere in the mail today. Some of it is the natural grown color, some has been naturally dyed. I will be using some of it for a piece of yardage. Raw silk + Cashmere = amazing. Yippee!!!!!
It is time for another New Tribe Textiles Handwoven Art Yardage random
drawing for a chance to purchase.
The infinite colors and mesmerizing patterns of Zinnia flowers inspired me
to create this piece of handwoven Art Yardage. It was woven in undulating
color shifts with a warp and weft of organic cotton-linen. At the center
is extensive tapestry weaving, reminiscent of flower petals. It is 72cm
(28 in.) wide, 5.2 meters long and weighs 1 Kilo (2lbs 1oz). The winner
will be drawn on the Equinox, wed. September 23.

Thank you for your support of my work!!!!!
Ball winding is the only part of the weaving process I don’t really enjoy anymore…but it must get done.
Lots of raw silk ready to be woven after an epic two days of dyeing.
Another piece of yardage that will be on display/for sale this saturday at
Seba Gallery in Truth or Consequences, NM. This one is all naturally dyed
raw silk weft on an organic cotton-linen warp. More photos and info coming
A fat stack of handwoven.
