Tied up.
Warps away. 15 threads per inch, ikat silk. Wahoo!
This is why skirts exist…for twirling and dancing. This is my newest woven/sewn creation, pure silk bliss. Check it out here – https://www.etsy.com/listing/103138917/custom-order-for-akashapachamama-gypsy?ref=pr_shop
Every nook and cranny of this amazing globe holds curiosities galore, so I really couldnt pick one place. I love them all, including those places I have yet to be.
Giant embroidery hoop ahoy! Soon, very soon i will be silk painting my clothing creations. This awesome garage sale find will allow me to steam the fabric as I paint. More photos of this process before too long.
Tibetan Back-strap Loom Warping. A little flashback to some of my India photos. This was in the lawn of the place we were staying in Dharamshala. They walk out all the strings to the sticks staked out to the ground, adjust the tension and roll it up.
More Chilkat Weaving. My best circle yet.
Rollar Warping!
